Shelf Marks
Each book in the library's collection has a shelf mark that indicates its location. With the exception of a small collection in the open stacks (basement), our books are arranged according to the Regensburger Verbundklassifikation (RVK) - a classification system widely used in academic libraries in Germany (overview RVK in English).
For economics, the main group Q is primarily relevant. Books whose subject matter spills over into other fields may also be classified under other main groups such as mathematics (S) or social sciences (M). In bonnus you can search across libraries with the help of RVK system locations (example: Advanced search - RVK-Notation: QH 100).
