B. A. Economics (Dual Subject)
If you are studying economics as a dual-subject Bachelor's degree, you will combine economics with another subject from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bonn. Possible subjects are, for example1:

The Bachelor's degree course in Economics combines business administration and economics fundamentals to give you a sound understanding of the economy. Economics looks at the economy as a whole, i.e. the interactions between the state, companies, and individuals. Business administration describes a business or company's management, control, and organization. The focus in Bonn is traditionally on economics.
You will learn to examine complex social issues and problems from an economic perspective. This includes the identification of actors, possible economic consequences, and options for action.

What does the study program look like?
"Economics" (dual subject) is divided into a compulsory area (18 CP) and two elective areas (60 CP in total).

Learn Languages
Arabic, Chinese, or English? You can take language modules from the Language Learning Center (SLZ) in the free elective area. You also have the opportunity to learn extracurricular languages there.
Stay abroad
Are you interested in studying or doing an internship abroad? The department's partner universities are for example Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.

Possible career fields
A degree in economics prepares you for a later career in the private sector, in research, in teaching, or in completely different professional fields.
Possible fields of activity can be found in:
- Administration (public service, chambers/associations),
- Speaker activities (e.g. in associations, political parties, or non-governmental organizations),
- Labor and social services,
- Press or public relations work (e.g. in private companies or state institutions),
management consultancy, - Journalism (editing/proofreading at news agencies, publishing houses, radio, television, etc.)
