University of Vienna
The University of Vienna was founded in 1365, making it the oldest university in the German-speaking world. About 92,000 students study at the university, of which about 28 percent are international students. The Department of Economics at the University of Vienna is international and research-oriented and enjoys a good reputation. For example, Schumpeter and Hayek earned their doctorates there. The university is ranked 47th in the Tilburg Ranking (as of 2013).
